Yokoo Café, created by Yokoo Sourinkan, a long-established bicycle shop with more than 90 years of history, is a new venture that brings together cycling culture and a relaxing café experience.
The building hosts the bicycle shop on the first floor and the newly opened café on the second floor, allowing visitors to enjoy the charm of bicycles across both levels.

The overall concept color, “Volks Blue,” is inspired by the vivid tones found on road bikes.
Throughout the interior, we incorporated bicycle elements as architectural features: a partition composed of road-bike frames that also serves as a product display, and a mobile partition made from ultra-light bicycle wheels that gently spin with the airflow from the AC—an expression unique to a cycling-themed space.

To allow flexible product updates, many displays are suspended with wires, enabling simple rearrangement.
All of these elements stand out beautifully against a simple interior that highlights the raw concrete structure of the building.

A space where cycling culture is not just displayed, but felt—a new form of café born from the heritage of a historic bicycle shop.
