A café shaped by light, stillness, and the quiet presence of an elevated structure

Just a two-minute walk from Ayase Station on the Tokyo Metro Chiyoda Line,
Blau espresso sits beneath the railway overpass—a unique setting where the raw structure becomes part of the architecture itself.

Inside, the rhythmically arranged concrete columns, reinforced for seismic stability, are not hidden but intentionally revealed as moments of “spatial pause.”
Their textured presence creates a calm backdrop, allowing light and shadow to move gently through the space.

A large terrace opening, which also functions as an expansive window, brings in soft natural light throughout the day.
We carefully designed the balance of materials, the angle of the incoming light, the spacing between seats, and the overall layout to create an atmosphere that feels both warm and quietly grounded.

A place where the strength of structure and the softness of light coexist—this is the essence of Blau espresso.

東京メトロ千代田線・綾瀬駅から徒歩2分。
高架下という特有の立地に生まれた「Blau espresso」は、
構造体そのものの力強さと、やわらかな光が共存する、静かで落ち着いたカフェ。

店内には、耐震補強が施されたコンクリート柱がリズムよく並び、
その無骨さを隠すのではなく、“空間の余白”として引き出すデザインとしました。
大開口のテラス席兼大きな窓からは、外光が柔らかく差し込み、
素材の質感・光の角度・席の間隔など、細部まで心地よさを考え設計。
